Founder and Chef Mixologist Ethan Leslie Leong started his culinary journey at 15, became a bartender 5 years later, then worked his way up to become a managing director and consultant at a well-known publicly traded company. After spending 32 years in the restaurant industry, Ethan has announced his retirement from this multi-award-winning restaurant and cocktail bar located next to the Sultan Mosque. He has prepared his cocktails, canapes, dinners and masterclasses for several respected and esteemed luxury brands such as Chanel, Rolex, Cartier, Montblanc, Mercedes Benzand Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Maison Ikkoku has also become the best place to drink with Asian actor Crazy Rich Henry Golding attending and hosting his wedding ceremony as well as a popular meeting place connecting a range of people in the industry with employment and fundraising opportunities. Additionally, it has topped awards in multiple categories, including but not limited to “Best Cocktail Bar” for many consecutive years by locals.
