The couple’s intimate double wedding is a joy

Sam Fairbloom and Adam Levinson went to the same elementary and middle school in Toronto and had tons of friends in common, but somehow the two never connected back then. It wasn’t until 2016, at the birthday party of a mutual acquaintance, that they officially met. They were instantly smitten with each other.

Sara monika Adam and Sam loved the privacy of their family ceremony. “We forgot that anyone else was in the room, except the chuppah people with us,” Sam explains.

“We crossed our eyes, spent the night talking – and finally kissing inappropriately in front of everyone!” “Adam called the next day to arrange a date, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. There is no one we like to spend more time with than the other.

Sam and Adam, who are the co-founders and owners of Dom, a Canadian lifestyle brand of organic hand sanitizers, moved in together in 2017 and lived together for three years before Adam proposed. He had the ring for over a year before asking the question. “Adam’s father passed away in 2019 and then he realized that time was running out,” Sam explains. “When you know, you just to know. He called my mom’s best friend, Laurie Goodman, co-owner of Mark Lash Jewelry, and started the design process.

Sara monika Adam had Sam’s engagement ring designed and made by Toronto jeweler Mark Lash a year before he offered it to her. Her wedding ring was also designed by Mark Lash; Adam’s wedding ring is the ring that his late father wore.

With the engagement ring in motion, Adam started planning his proposal, but life arrived, and when COVID hit, he decided to wait a bit so the couple could celebrate their engagement however they wanted with theirs. families. “In the Jewish community it’s incredibly important,” Sam says. “We call it The Chiam, which means toast to life, health and happiness.

Sara monika “Having two parties turned out to be the brightest idea,” Sam says. “We had one for our family and one for our friends and both were amazing!”

When the lockdowns began to ease in July 2020, it was time for Adam to propose. After a long day at work followed by a grocery run at Whole Foods, he asked the question at home. “We just walked in the door on our trip to the store and I was laughing because I realized we had walked out with our Ugg slippers on,” Sam said. “I couldn’t understand why Adam wasn’t laughing and then he Suddenly turned around, held out the ring and asked me to marry him. There were tears!

On August 5, exactly five years to the day of their meeting, Sam and Adam tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of 50 guests at a private Toronto home. “We loved how intimate everything was,” Sam says. “We forgot that anyone else was in the room except the people under the chuppah with us: our parents and siblings. . This intimate feeling carried on until dinner time and the speeches, which were filled with so much love and laughter. Adam’s speech was really amazing and unbelievably him — he took the microphone and worked around the room. The spin salesperson / instructor in him came out in his true form! “

Sara monika “We’re best friends first, husband and wife second, and business partners third,” Sam says. “There’s no one we like to spend time with more than the other. We live to travel, eat, have new adventures and spend time together at home.

The couple didn’t stop at just one wedding, however. Two days later, they threw another party, a cocktail party for 100 friends. Sam says the whole experience of having two separate events was magical. “It was great because we got to celebrate with everyone and never felt guilty or pulled in different directions about our celebration. We enjoyed every second of our amazing two days.

Sara monika “Dancing was a highlight of our wedding day,” Sam says. “We actually spent the two nights laughing and dancing together, it was the most fun!
