St. Regis debuts in Qingdao, China

St. Regis Hotels and Resorts, part of Marriott International’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, announced the launch of The St. Regis Qingdao.

The eagerly awaited opening marks the first Marriott International luxury brand hotel in the northeastern region of Shandong. Strategically located in the iconic Haitian center in the heart of historic Qingdao, the hotel is intended to delight the city’s luminaries and taste makers with its elegant design, exquisite craftsmanship, and age-old signature rituals.

Occupying the 58th to 78th floors of the 369-meter-high Haitian Center, the St. Regis Qingdao is the region’s tallest hotel, captivating guests with panoramic views of the Yellow Sea and scenic coastal scenes. Less than an hour’s drive from Qingdao Liuting International Airport, the hotel is adjacent to scenic Fushan Bay, the site of sailing competitions during the Beijing Olympics, and offers views of local landmarks. such as Badaguan Cultural Architecture Center and Qingdao International Sailing Center.

Drawing inspiration from the brand’s rich heritage, acclaimed Singapore-based interior design firm LTW Designworks has subtly infused local Qingdao influences with the avant-garde aesthetic of St. Regis. In each bedroom, the bedside plaque features camellia designs as a tribute to the official Qingdao flower, representing inspiration, integrity and romance.
