As the wedding industry begins to rebound after two difficult years of COVID-related restrictions, the downtown Culpeper refinery is at the forefront of welcoming the big day.
The downtown venue at 120 W. Culpeper St. is teaming up with various other vendors to bring home their $ 18,000 wedding gift.
All participants in a wedding show that will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, January 8 at The Refinery will be entered to win.
Tickets for this weekend’s wedding show are at EventBrite and include a full meal, dessert, and interaction with 16 vendors.
The refinery previously held wedding giveaways in 2019 and 2020, but was unable to do so last year because things were tough for all the suppliers trying to recover from the losses in 2020, said Owner Joy Orr. site manager and lead planner.
Fortunately, weddings are finally making a comeback! Orr said Thursday.
Asked about the hottest article for 2021 weddings, she replied: a COVID-free marriage.
âJust kidding. People are really loving the pampas grass and the clean lines right now,â Orr said.
The wedding giveaway featured on the Saturday show will include a full day’s use of The Refinery plus coordination, an eight-hour photography package with Kayla Fletcher, a six-hour DJ service package with imthedj, repeatable radio and DJ services, linens from Classic Catering, bouquet and boutonniere by Leroy French Flowers, Reception Florals by Good Earth Flowers, rentals, decoration and set-up by Bride and Joy & Beggars Banquet, food by Classic Catering and Distinguished Engagements, bridal makeover by Megan Gouldman Make Up, officiant of Steele Away Weddings, a wedding cake from Cake Bee, a zero waste events package from Apex Organix, a breakfast tray from Distinguished Engagements, a bar package from Bride and Joy Weddings, a Bridal Hairstyle Trial from Gladiolus, and a Bar Package from Louie’s Mobile Mixology.
