Can’t you buy me love?
While it’s no secret that the âBachelorâ franchise is paying off its romantic hopes, it has long been questioned how much these men and women actually earn. Earlier this week, Bachelor Nation alumni Jason Tartick and Dean Unglert gave fans a behind-the-curtain glimpse.
Dean, who first appeared on âThe Bacheloretteâ in 2017 and was later invited to join âBachelor in Paradise,â fondly remembers his negotiation.

âThey hit me and they were like, ‘Hey, you wanna do’ Bachelor in Paradise ‘, that other show that pays $ 400 a day, and you could be there for 30 days,’ something like that, ” he recalls while on Jason’s “Trading Secrets” podcast. âThey’re like, ‘Well you should be making more money because you’re kind of like the guy that comes off the show … you’re the one they want the most out of your season to go to’ Paradise. ‘, less like [runner-up] To fart [Kraus], obviously. ‘”
Dean fired back for $ 800 a day, but eventually went for a daily rate of $ 600.
âAt that point, I was like, on principle, I just wanted them to pay – it could have been a dollar more – on principle, I wanted them to pay me more than they offered to. everyone just because I thought I was hot for some reason, âhe says.

Sometime after, Dean said he was offered $ 75,000 to lead season 22 of âThe Bachelor,â which ultimately went to Arie Luyendyk Jr.
He later returned for “Paradise” in 2019 and remembers asking for $ 20,000 per episode, which he admits to being an “absurd amount”.
âWhen I said that too, I was so vindicated. I thought to myself, ‘They’re not going to get me for a dollar less than I need,'” he said. âThen, finally, over time, I said to myself, ‘Fuck it’. I think I got down to around $ 602 a day. “
On his second stint on “Paradise,” he met his current girlfriend Caelynn Miller-Keyes.
