Kevin Owens tells Matthew McConaughey “I’m going to fuck you”

Fresh off of battling the legendary “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens issued a challenge for WrestleMania 39 directed against Matthew McConaughey.

The first night of WrestleMania 38 saw Kevin Owens host the KO Show with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, which eventually turned into a No Holds Barred match, marking Austin’s first match since WrestleMania XIX. “The Texas Rattlesnake” walked away with the win after dealing a Stunner to Owens.

Kevin Owens has now turned his attention to WrestleMania 39, which will take place on April 1 and 2, 2023 from SoFi Stadium. Although he’s currently embroiled in a feud with Ezekiel, “The Prizefighter” wants to take on Hollywood icon Matthew McConaughey at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

Speaking to Corey Graves on After The Bell, the former WWE Universal Champion acknowledged how McConaughey had previously said he would like to do something in WWE (h/t Sportskeeda):

“I remember shortly after [McConaughey attending a WWE show] he talked about how he would like to do something in WWE. I don’t know him at all, but to me he seems like the kind of guy who would come along to do it right and have a blast. People like that are welcome in our industry at any time.

In response to Graves saying that After The Bell guests often talk things out, Kevin Owens addressed McConaughey directly for a WrestleMania 39 match:

“So yeah, if we talk about stuff, WrestleMania 39, come at me, McConaughey, I’ll fuck you up!”

It wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity has taken part in WrestleMania, as Bad Bunny, Lawrence Taylor and Snooki have previously wrestled at the event. This year alone, Logan Paul and Johnny Knoxville would be added to the roster, with Paul beating The Mysterios alongside The Miz, while Knoxville pinned Sami Zayn.

McConaughey has previously expressed interest in a potential wrestling career, with The wedding planner actor speaking to Maria Menounos for her Better Together podcast:

“I’m going to say…not too much, because as you know, you can’t say too much about these things, but it’s, uh, it’s something that interests me…”

Kevin Owens himself has also worked with celebrities in the past. He delivered a Stunner to Logan Paul at WrestleMania 37, while he also previously Powerbombed Machine Gun Kelly offstage during an episode of Raw.
