Harry Rosen adds ‘the host’ to his repertoire of wedding services with a memorable rooftop ceremony

A lucky couple got married and Harry Rosen took care of the details.

TORONTO, August 25, 2022 /CNW/ – For more than 65 years, Harry Rosen has cultivated his expertise in styling men for their weddings; and now can say that he is also an expert in their hosting.

It’s no secret that the past two years have been difficult for newly engaged couples with ceremonies canceled due to closures, capacity restrictions on guest lists and public health concerns making the celebration uncomfortable. . With the world opening up, Harry Rosen wanted to help ease the stress that planning a wedding can take on a very lucky couple.

So, the iconic Canadian luxury menswear retailer last month held a contest, dubbed “Marry Rosen,” where a couple would win an all-expenses-paid wedding, including venue, wedding planner, food and drink, flowers, officiant, photographer, music, furniture, and equipment for the groom(s), the couple’s fathers, and the groomsmen. Most memorable part: The wedding would take place on the private terrace of the flagship Harry Rosen store overlooking Bloor Street downtown Toronto.

“As wedding experts, we understand how difficult it has been for couples to plan for the past two years,” says Ian Rosen, President and Chief Operating Officer of Harry Rosen. “We are very happy to have been able to help a deserving couple plan the wedding they have always wanted and avoid having to postpone the celebration until 2023.”

The wedding industry is booming this year and finding an available venue is nearly impossible. We are predicted to see the highest number of marriages since 1984, with around 2.6 million couples in North America getting married this year, according to The Knot 2021 Real Weddings Study.

The Marry Rosen competition, which took place on Harry Rosen’s Instagram, received an overwhelming amount of comments from enthusiastic participants – but one couple stood out. For the winners, Randy and Justin, the prize was the opportunity to publicly celebrate their love as members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. They shared their big day with 35 of their closest friends and family on Harry Rosen’s private patio overlooking the Toronto skyline with top notch dining, stunning flowers, a wall of champagne, decadent sweets and more. Randy donned a charcoal gray Canali tuxedo and Justin wore an Etro cocktail jacket and tuxedo pants from HAROLD, Harry Rosen’s new house brand.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude after seeing the care and compassion Harry Rosen put into executing our wedding day,” said Randy Cole, winner of the Marry Rosen competition. “Every little detail was more than we could have imagined and we are so grateful that our wedding day was able to bring together all of our family and friends after such a long time to celebrate our love.”

The Marry Rosen event was designed by partner agency Zulu Alpha Kilo. Harry Rosen would like to thank all vendors and sponsors of this event, including: Rebecca Chan Weddings and Events; Toben Food by design; Dream Weddings Canada; Photograph of purple tree; Detailz Couture event rentals; President Mills; fruit cakes; Little party secrets; Design dance floors; Opening Night Flowers; Magic Moments Balloons; Rented luxuries; Wellington Music; Lover Lettering; Fashion illustrations by Jenny Zhang; Mint Room Studios; and Allyssa Helm Beauty & Co.
