Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Athar Aamir Khan, ex-husband of IAS officer Tina Dabi, is now engaged to Dr Mehreen Qazi. It comes months after Ms Dabi married IAS officer Dr Pradeep Gawande in a private ceremony in Jaipur.
Mr Khan announced his engagement on Instagram on Sunday, posting his picture with Dr Qazi.
She also shared a photo of her engagement to Mr Khan.
Dr Qazi lives in Srinagar, where Mr Khan is appointed as a municipal commissioner. A medical doctor, Dr Qazi studied at Ambedkar University in Delhi before heading to the UK for postgraduate studies.
Ms Dabi and Mr Khan were officially divorced in August last year after a family court in Jaipur granted their request.
Tina Dabi topped the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC) exam for civil service in 2015, the same year that Athar Khan came second. Their romance and marriage was straight out of a movie script.
The two got married in Delhi in April 2018.
Their wedding reception in Delhi was attended by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Ministers and then Lok Sabha President Sumitra Mahajan.
Ms. Dabi and Mr. Khan are officers from the Rajasthan cadre and were both originally posted to Jaipur. Mr. Khan is currently on deputation to the government of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tina Dabi, a graduate of Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi, has been in the spotlight after becoming the first Dalit to win the prestigious civil service exam, that too on her first try.
She met Mr Khan, who is from Anantnag in Kashmir, during their training.
